The ammonia installation in SM Mlekpol ZPM Mrągowo is based on 4 compressor units produced by J.S. Cooling with a total cooling capacity of almost 7000 kW.
Four spray-evaporative condensers with a total cooling capacity of 10000 kW are responsible for the condensation of ammonia. In this case, the condensers are made entirely of stainless steel, which guarantees very high resistance to weather conditions.
The plant operates two horizontal liquid separators with a total capacity of more than 20,000 litres. These are connected to four Alfa-Laval plate heat exchangers, which transfer the cold to the chilled water.
Three pumps with motors of 55 kW each were used to pump the chilled water. The total capacity of the pumps is approximately 800 m3/h.
