The spiral tunnel built at SM Mlekpol ZPM Radom operates on two spirals connected to each other by a single belt. Thanks to the multi-storey spiral, the tunnel takes up little space despite its very large capacity. Fans installed in the tunnel blow cold air directly onto individual products, which significantly reduces cooling time. The tunnel has an automatic loading and unloading system, which makes its operation fully automatic.
Thanks to linear conveyors with different speeds, the goods coming out of the tunnel are correctly positioned on the line transporting the product to the next production stage.
Thanks to the use of two spirals, unloading and loading of the tunnel takes place at the same level. For the transport of the goods, a modular belt capable of passing through air was used, so that cold air circulates around each side of the product.
